Shelta is a store in Gothenburg, Sweden, that focuses on streetwear and sneaker fashion. We first opened up our doors in 2004, and since 2006 we also provide the webshop you are now visiting...

The foundation of Shelta lies in passion and years of experience in deejaying, graphic design, skateboarding, music production and club culture. Deejaying at clubs in London, New York, Norway and Sweden. Freelance graphic design for various production companies, artists and clothing labels, both in Sweden and worldwide. Mixtape releases since way back long before Slick Rick shot his cousin. Music production for swedish and international artists, TV-shows, movies, radio and commercials. Some of us are sponsored skateboarders. Some of us run clubs around the city. And all of drink coffee. A lot.

Shelta is situated in the street Andra Långgatan, which for the past years has grown from being a strip club/sex shop area, into a street that holds the best stores for records, clothing, deejaying equipment, books, galleries, contemporary art & design, and plenty of clubs, bars, coffee shops and restaurants. Andra Långgatan is basically our home where we eat, drink, party and well... just dwell. Before we opened up Shelta a couple of years ago, our studio space was only 20 meters away from where we are based today. We have so much love for our neighbourhood, and if you are ever in Gothenburg you should not miss this vibrant part of the city that even The New York Times has written an article about...

For us Shelta is so much more than just footwear and clothing. First of all it is about getting inspired by all the interesting people we get to work with. It´s also about hearing that dope remix last night. It´s about catching that heelflip. And it´s about having an espresso with our friends on the bench outside the store. You are welcome to join us any time...
